Anna learned how to play disk golf today...

Garden Stuff

This year I am not doing much in the way of a garden but that doesn't mean my garden didn't decide to keep going without me. Today I snapped some pictures of a few plants I got really excited about. 

My artichoke plant is only a year old and is going great! I have  four artichokes and one is ready to be harvested!  I was so happy to see this. 

Chives are my absolute favorite herb to grow, I like that mine never seem to die and have this amazing multiplication properties. I swear I only bought one plant five years ago, and now I have a whole field of them. Of course when they bloom they look amazing. I love their color of purple.

This is the view from my campsite tonight. I love the way it looks after dark, but I just can't get a good picture after twilight to share it's beauty. 

Outside stove

This stove belongs to our neighbor, and I loved it. This is a scrapbook type blog post where I'm only putting it on here because I want to remember it for latter. I would really like to own an outside fire pit/stove like this one day. 

Hanging out

There really is no question these day on if I have a life or not. I don't. I hardly ever get to see people and hanging out with friends happens kind of rarely. The internet has been my saving grace, and TJ and I have developed a way of still hanging out together for movie nights (or to watch our "shows"). This involves two monitors, a webcam, HULU, and Google +. 

This is a crappy picture but you can see how it works. Monitor one (on top) is playing The Finder, one of the shows we both watch RELIGIOUSLY. Monitor two (on the bottom) has TJ and my google plus video chat. As long as we wear headphones to the sound of the show can't be heard by the other person and get annoying, it works really well. 

Spring!

Today was an amazing day on the Oregon coast. I spend a few hours at the beach with my mother and my dog and we had a great time in the warm weather. I'm going to share the pictures!

This is when I found out that my phone could  switch the display so it was  facing me instead of away from me when it took a picture. It took us a long time to figure out how to change it back.

OMSI visit

Recently visited OMSI and had a wonderful time! We were a little disappointed that we managed to visit when between exhibits, but at least they gave us a discount! Soon OMSI is going to be having a natural disaster exhibit and I was really hoping to see it. This visits, however, we just saw the permanent displays (which are pretty cool too!)  

I really like their human development display, and got this really cool picture of the cross section of an actual pregnant woman. I guess they use to have a whole exhibit like this, I'm sorry I missed that one! 

I also snapped a quick picture of this sign they had on one of the lab windows. You could watch people work in the lab, and it really is too bad you aren't allowed to give them coffee.

Golf

I didn't actually golf! But this was the first time I had ever been on a real golf course. This is the best picture I got (Sorry Eric). 

It was pretty fun just walking around sipping a beer and watching guys hit things with long sticks. 

I really need to remember in the moment that I will be trying to blog about these things latter, and thus more pictures are in order.
